If there's one thing about foreigners in Germany I have no clue about, then it's about work. I can only imaging it must be hard. Looking for a job when you don't speak the language. Or hardly speak the language. No. When you work on the world wide web, there's no need to sit in painful job interviews. Not being able to express yourself in German. Concentrate on what the other says. In a dreadfull accent. No. Not me.
Or that's what I thought. I start speaking "understandable" German. I understand them. And they understand me. Enough for a German company to search for help. Going international. Can do that. No problem. It's in English.
Again. That's what I thought. Says the German customer on Friday night: "Can you do this also in German. By Monday morning?".
Aiaiaiaia...My own German not around. Translation software. Grammatical books. Dictionaries...
Really, my weekend was a 48-hour-nervous-job-interview-where-you-do-not-understand-why-these-words-are-just-not-in-the-dictionary. Vacation, please!
